We are a group of professional artists interested in pushing the craft of improvisation in the context of performance.
About Us
This is the blog for the ‘No Hitting’ Performance Collective.
The group includes some of Vancouver’s most intriguing dancers and musicians currently practicing improvisation. Brought together by the vision of Laura Hicks and Jennifer Clarke, the group meets weekly to share quandaries and insights, ask lots of open ended questions, and hone a group practice. Some of our discussions and discoveries will be posted here.
Have a performance space? Contact us! Ideal spaces are galleries, lofts, cafes and lobbies. Nothing is too big or too small. Eventually upcoming performances will be listed here.
Interested in joining us? The performance collective is now full, but we’re always happy to have new people to practice with. Contact Laura to ask about practice sessions.
